I like to fondly refer to this image as “The city of Lights” not sure why. I took this image on the same day that I took the image here. I took me while to capture this as it was in the afternoon and it hadn’t got dark yet. I just hung around waiting for the lights to come on. However, when I captured the normal image, it didn’t excite me at all. It was just dull for me. So for the next image capture, I twisted my lens barrel after the shutter release. I dragged the lights and it created the image above.
The technique is pretty easy. To be frank, I just wanted something new.
Processing wise, I have my routine now, adjusted white and blacks in Lightroom then brought the highlights completely. Increased the brightness by playing with the shadows. Last but not least, I applied blue filters to cool the lights down and to bring a sense of calm to the image.
Hope everyone had a good week and thank you very much for the comments and all my new followers. Please do not hesitate to ask me any question you may have.
