Good morning everyone,
Hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend.
Lately, I’ve found myself posting images of photographers that inspire me so I thought rather than just name then I would just share what I find inspiring about their work.
The photographer I would like to share Ansel Adams, a photographer well known for his black and white landscapes.
Known as one of the greatest landscape photographer, Ansel Adam has more than half a century of work behind him.
What I find inspiring about his work is the beautiful composition and the elegant balance between light and shadows in each of his work.
He also printed his work where he worked tirelessly to develop a darkroom technique of exposure and development called the Zone System.
The Zone system is a way to determine proper exposure and adjust the contrast of his final print. The result is a clarity and depth of the black and white unlike any other.
He preferred to use large format cameras because their high resolution helped ensure sharpness in his images.
Ted Forbes of The Art of Photography has recently published a video on Ansel Adams’s work that further goes into details about the photographer.
Have a wonderful start to the week!!!
