Hope everyone’s week has been going well. It took me a while to finally decide to capture this building. After walking by it on numerous occasions, I finally plucked up the courage to approach it.
I needed to take my time and see how to best capture it my way. Once there and doing my usual round, I finally settled on the above image.
Very distinctive in style, the Fenchurch building or the walkie talkie building (as it has been nicknamed) has been gracing the London skyline for a while. It is 160 metres tall making it the fifth-tallest building in the city of London.
Designed by the architect Rafael Viñoly and will feature a viewing deck and sky gardens on the top 3 floors that will be open to the public. The proposed height of the building was nearly 200m but it has to be scaled down after concerns about its visual impact on nearby St Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London.
Have a wonderful day!!
