When was the last time you did something different? That’s a very good question!
We all get so comfortable or trying to get the handle a new technique that we for get to try something new. The best thing I’ve learned about photography is that even if you are learning something new, it is a good thing to take some time to breath, do something else and then get back to it.
The break gives you new perspective and usually new ideas and creativity burst.
When we try to speed things up, there’s an unfortunate side effect; the artistic quality of your work drops. However, creativity needs to be nurtured.
Most of you all know that I love my architecture and I’ve got the bug for long exposure photography too, so instead of shooting landscape all the time, I combined my love for long exposure with dance; something out of my comfort zone but that I’ve enjoyed nonetheless.
This sparked new ideas and things that I would like to do in the future that are in the planning stage.
So tell me when was the last time you did something new?
